Monkey Puzzle Potten End is conveniently situated between Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted. The nursery itself is located on a farm occupying two beautiful converted barns that are flooded with natural light and a wealth of exposed beams. The children have the benefit of miles of woodland walks and fields well away from busy roads. The site itself also has a secure duck pond where wild birds of all varieties come and nest.

Facilities

Both barns house separate areas for each age group as well as two distinct play areas for grass play, climbing and an all-weather play area.

For babies there is a dedicated sleep room playing soothing music. Parents are given the opportunity to purchase cot linen etc, for the sole use of their child.

Babies have a separate changing area. Because of the diverse brands of nappies used by the under 2's, we ask parents to supply their own brand, ensuring their comfort.

Once babies are fully mobile they go up into the tweenies section of Cart Barn. Here activities are centred around more mobile babies with lots of arts and crafts and outdoor play.

Toddlers and pre school children occupy the larger Harvest Barn. Half of this beautiful barn is dedicated to the toddlers, they benefit from a reading corner, circle time area, home corner and a large messy pay area. They also have direct access to the outside play area.

The pre school area occupies the other half of the Harvest Barn and provides a stimulating environment for older children to develop. They benefit from a computer area, reading corner, construction area and messy play area. Toilets and sinks are close by to help encourage independence before attending school.
