About Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries

At the Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries we pride ourselves in the knowledge that we offer our children a secure caring environment that is second to none. This is constantly reinforced by the feed back we receive from our parents.

"May we take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Monkey Puzzle, who have done such a great job of looking after Tabitha, encouraging her to grow and develop as an individual and provide emotional support when required. It will be with great sadness on her and our part to see her leave this nursery"

From the managers down, we place enormous emphasis on ensuring our highly trained staff offer more than just the relevant qualifications. All of the staff at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are selected for their caring nature. This enables us to provide both a warm stimulating environment for the children and a harmonious working atmosphere for our staff.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries have a dedicated educational co-ordinator, who as a qualified teacher, designs and oversees the curriculum for all age groups. From the baby units through to the pre-school rooms, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are committed to ensuring that all our children go on to school secure and happy, with their educational fundamentals firmly in place.

All of our nurseries are designed to offer a bright, airy and stimulating environment for our children to thrive in. Each age group have their own dedicated room, tailored to meet their own very individual requirements.

The Baby rooms, which cater for children from three months, all have separate sleep rooms and changing facilities. The baby's day rooms are designed to provide a stimulating environment through the use of natural light, sensory toys and activities. Music, stories, art and craft and fresh air combine to provide a typical day in the baby room.

The Toddler rooms are a hive of activity, whether the children are baking biscuits, getting messy with gloop or learning pencil control, it's all great fun. The emphasis in these rooms is learning through play and this is also an age where lots of patience and understanding is required.

The Pre-school rooms focus on preparing children for primary school through play. A structured day is centred around the six key stages of learning, namely language and literacy, numeracy, knowledge and understanding of the world, emotional & social development, physical development, and creative development. This, coupled with lots of fresh air, provides a busy day for all in the Pre-School section.

Security at the Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries is paramount. All the Nurseries have secure entrances and all visitors and parents have to ring a bell for access. We operate a password system for third party collection and all children have to be signed in and out.
